The start of a new blog, many birds with one stone!

It’s been 4 years since I bought my first camera to begin this scene-capturing hobby. I always thought of it as a way to capture moments only for myself, family and friends to look back on. Little did I realise how much enjoyment I’d get from using cameras to capture landscape and street scenes from my perspective. I guess buying a camera ended up accidentally hitting 2 birds with one stone!

A few months ago I decided to put together a proud little album of photos, this would contain my best captured scenes to that date. At that point I had realised that it was more than just a handful I was proud of, but a whole Portfolio’s worth. Some family and friends begun to encourage me to build a website, and not to work harder on photography, but to have a place where people could see and possibly buy the photographs I’m taking. Whilst keeping the pace of photo taking as it already was, to keep it feeling like a hobby.

Recently I’ve been wanting to write down my best moments of travels, trips, staycations and days out. I was also thinking that I almost always have pictures to go with these, and that writing about my best moments in a blog format on my website would be a neat little idea, and a reason for people to keep re-visiting my website. A story to follow, and hopefully be inspired by!

So here I present my new, and my first blog. Mostly for me to babble about my days to myself with pictures to go with them (because my memory is truly atrocious), but also for others to hopefully spend less time doom-scrolling (including myself). To hit many birds with one stone!

Since this is website is all about light hearted, glass half full, not glass half empty vibes… Have a silly picture of myself so that you have a face to put to these blogs. It’s not often you get to see any picture of the photographers!
